Gearing Up

It has been quite some time since we have last written. A lot has happened in our lives and business since those February snowstorms. We have worked on several video projects for Genesis Church in Noblesville and a nonprofit organization called Mission Uprising, as well as preparing for our very busy summer/fall wedding season. There are several interesting locations we are shooting this year: Garden of the Gods in Colorado, Lakeside Park in Fort Wayne, Simmons Winery in Columbus, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Scottish Rite in Fort Wayne, Mavis in Indianapolis, and several historic churches.

We will be taking a week off in July to for our annual family vacation to North Topsail Beach, North Carolina. In August we plan on attending the WEVA (Wedding Event Videography Association) Convention in Las Vegas. We will make sure to write about and post photos from our adventures this year.

We added a new member to our family in February. We adopted a kitten from Amanda and Nate Reynolds of Turtle Pond Photography. The dogs, especially our lab Tucker, didn’t care for her at first, but they get along now. She is so sweet and loves to sleep on John, who really didn’t want a cat.

John and I also attend “A Weekend to Remember” Marriage Retreat, downtown Indy at the Marriott. It was fabulous. With our busy schedule sometimes we forget to spend some quality time together, even though we work together everyday, this was a way for the two of us to reconnect as husband and wife. If you ever get a chance to attend this seminar (they are held all over the country throughout the year) I highly recommend it. We are putting their website link on our blog and website.
